| WIRELESS AND MOBILE TECHNOLOGY |
| Course Objective |
Cellular service has grown tremendously in the last decade. Mobile telephones are only the tip of the cellular revolution. Increasingly, new types of wireless devices are being introduced. These new devices have access to the Internet. They include personal organizers and telephones, but now they have Web access, instant messaging, e-mail, and other services available on the Internet.
The course examines technologies used to provide greater capacity for the advanced cellular technologies for transmitting higher speed data and accessing the Internet over wireless networks. It also addresses the concerns about safety.
