| Educational Policy: |
| Management & Technical education in the world is changing from a "teacher-directed" to a "student centered" approach. Within the Indian Institute of Telecom Management we are working on this development of educational methods along the lines of our educational & training policy. |
| In this policy, four crucial points are formulated: |
Students are trained competence that is necessary for functioning as study professional; this means a strong focus on the professional practice among other things.
Education is organize in such a way that the students acquire skills through active learning: teach students to learn, to meet the challenges of a changing working environment.
Competence based learning occurs through individual educational routes; the students are responsible for their own learning process helped by a portfolio and a personal development plan.
An efficient and effective organization has been arranged; also the IITM is organized students centered way in shape of exclusive study center. IITM is also dedicated to organize the seminars on National and International Levels to promote the new technologies in telecom Industry.
The digital learning environment plays an important role in achieving our educational goals, but of course the interactions with lecture and working together with fellow students play a crucial role as well.

| In an effort to reach out to the vast universe of under graduates, graduate students and working professionals, IITM offers the Distance Learning Programme. Consonant with our mission of encouraging sustained professional enrichment in an academic environment, the DLP provides professional education in a flexible academic package consisting of Personal Contact Programmes synergized with specially prepared course contents and syllabus. IITM offers its Distance Education Programmes through its vide network of PCP Centers in India . |
