The Distance Education Council (DEC) , New Delhi has approved IITM programmes offered by the Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University.

The Distance Education has informed that approval is mandatory and priority will be given for employment in Government jobs and for higher studies for those who study programmes approved by DEC. Now admissions are in progress for the various programmes. The last date for admission is 30-8-07.
